Businiess name:  Dr. Vandita Samavedi
Review by:  Gabi K.
Review content:
Hi, I am a 40-year-old female and was seeing Dr. Samavedi for various health issues. I moved to WA from CA so was new to Dr. Samavedi. My first visit with her was odd, she barely spoke two words to me, typed a bunch of info on her computer and then refilled my prescriptions from my Doctor in CA and then left the room, that was it, no questions asked. I decided I should give it some time, get to know her, and assumed we would build a relationship over the next year. It never happened. Dr. Samavedi continued to be cold, rude and distant, she did not ask me how I was feeling, if there were any changes in my health etc. she simply re-filled my prescriptions and had the nurse take my blood. She is more of a pharmacist than anything. In February of 2007, I came down with pneumococcal pneumonia, and called to see if Dr. Samavedi could get me in, they said she could not see me, so I ended up going to Dr. Duran at Access Health Care in Lakeland Hills (he is an outstanding physician), and he diagnosed me with pneumococcal pneumonia. It turned out in a period of 24 hours my blood had become septic and my blood pressure was almost non-existant. Dr. Duran called an ambulance to take me to the local hospital and I was admitted and stayed for five days. It was a very scary experience and Dr. Duran literally saved my life. Dr. Samavedi could not bother herself to see me and when you are very, very ill your Doctor, most Doctors will fit you in and take care of you, Dr. Duran couldn’t believe that Dr. Samavedi my very own general practitioner could not fit me in knowing I was deathly ill. Even after I was discharged and on the road to recovery Dr. Samavedi did not follow up with me and see how I was doing. Dr. Samavedi does not care about her patients at all; she should really be working in a different field. After being discharged from the hospital and following up with Dr. Duran I was 100% and feeling like my old self and have been seeing Dr. Duran ever since. I would never recommend Dr. Samavedi for anything; she is the worst Dr. I have seen in all of my forty years and I would swear to this under oath.
