Review content:
I had a small 24x26" wood window that a soccer ball broke. We've had it fixed several times before, each time was $50-65. Glass Doctor won't give you a quote over the phone and requires a mandatory $35 fee to come out and give a quote. The tech looked at it for a minute and quoted me $240 without a guarantee and $292 with a guarantee. I have copies of the prior invoices showing the prior repair costs, the last was $52. So I refused the wok but was still out the $35 for a 1 minute appraisal.
With Glass Doctor you lose either way. Either you get nothing done and they do no work and go home with 70% of what they would have made anyway or you get the work done and pay six times the normal fee.
