Review content:
I had the most terrible experience at Wehrenberg's Des Peres, Missouri theatre. After purchasing two tickets and entering the theatre an older man insisted that I check my back pack at the front desk. He stated that it was company policy. However, if it was company policy it was poorly instigated. At the front desk they just took the bag and I did not receive a ticket stub or form of identification to prove that I was the owner. Which made me worry and I asked the older man if I could pull out my laptop to take it in with me. (The one thing of value I had) He said , "No! That would be against federal law." I had rode the bus there that day and did not have a car to place my bag in. I really had no other option and ended up just leaving the bag with them. I can see how they would be worried about someone slipping a video camera in. And I would not have minded at all if he searched my bag. But, if they are going to insist on checking peoples bags they should create some sort of system or onsite lockers. The older man was extremely rude and handled the situation very poorly. After the ordeal with the older man was over, We went to buy some popcorn and drinks. We paid in cash and the clerk first would not accept the payment. He said it was too difficult for him to count the money. And we had to wait for him to find another clerk! After the clerk who could count helped us we took our food and went to get our seats. It was then when I set my drink in the cup holder and the whole arm of the chair falls off spilling the drink everywhere. The lack of service and concern for the costumer was unbelievable! I will never go there again!
