This is a K-5 Public School. This school may not be the top in the area, but it comes a close second. My experience with the teachers & principal & other staff was a very good one. They really seem to take an interest in children, especially when there are problems, be it learning, behavioral or otherwise. Their reading program is comprehensive and above par. The school provides bus service & has free breakfast & lunches for those who are in need. The bus service will even take your child to the after school daycare or care facility of your choice in the area. Here are some stats that may be of interest to you: National Test Scores: (The % results below reflect how many students are meeting or exceeding the standard requirements in testing) Criterion Referenced Competency Tests for 2003 CRCT English/Language Arts 79% CRCT Reading 85% CRCT Math 73% (The 2003 results above had risen considerably from the two previous years. Obviously the school has really been trying to improve.) Students Per Teacher: 18 % of Free Lunches: 40% Nationalities: White 98% African-American 1% Hispanic <1%
