While the Creative Discovery Museum is geared towards children, the whole family will enjoy it. The have exhibits for children of all ages, from tiny toddler to early teens. The museum has a small cafeteria, diaper changing facilities, and a coat check for in the winter. Exhibits are well kept up and interesting. One of the first things you'll encounter is the water area that you can see from outside the building. My 18 month old never wanted to leave that area. Kids can play with water toys and learn how water provides energy and its many uses. For smaller children, be sure to spend time in the yellow house, an area designed just for little kids. They a "workshop" (sponsored by Home Depot, I believe), a large play kitchen area and room for the kids to climb around. There is also a enclosed area for really little ones to be down crawling and stay safe. Many of the exhibits within the museum are interactive and designed to engage the kids. A new rooftop exhibit has also been added, which I haven't had a chance to see yet. The museum also has temporary exhibits throughout the year. Another great thing about the Creative Discovery Museum is that you can host a birthday party there. All of your guests get free admission to the museum for the day and you get an hour in the birthday room with cake and ice cream.
