Businiess name:  Casa Mare

I have to disagree with the majority.......the local Casa chain is not one of my favorites. First and foremost I wish they would change their bread! Since Casa's is a tradition in the Fort Wayne area, I go there frequently for business lunches, gatherings of friends, etc. because it is a popular dining destination for Fort Wayne residents. I have always been disappointed in the bread - you could use it for the proverbial hockey puck. When I'm at a business lunch the last thing I want to have to do is struggle tearing my bread apart or having to try to gnaw off a bite. Not only is the crust hard, when you do get to the inside bread there is not a lot of flavor. Another thing that irks me is that one of the things Casa's does very right - their pizzas are only available at certain locations. I've had margarita pizza at a number of restaurants and Casa's does it better than anyone else - why not make it available at each location? The Casa salad is a legend in the Fort Wayne area - many people have strived to duplicate it at home and frankly, I don't understand why. There are those of us who either don't like cheese or can't eat cheese yet the dressing for the Casa salad is LOADED with cheese - no thanks! If I want Italian food in Fort Wayne, I'll go to either Biaggi's or The Italian Connection.
