I think this little shop on Main Street produces some of the finest desserts in the area. My personal favorite is the "butter" cupcakes made with real butter and butter cream frosting (okay, so I like butter). They are rich, but sooo good and don't leave a shortening-esque coating in your mouth as an aftertaste.
I've also ordered one of their custom cakes for an Anniversary celebration. I didn't give them too much instruction as to the decoration, and was pleasantly surprised when I picked up the half butter/half chocolate confection. It was absolutely beautiful! Everyone said it was one of the best cakes they had ever tasted.
I do agree it would be nice to be able to actually purchase a "piece of cake" - but the cupcakes are a nice alternative. Also, the staff is fabulous - very sincere and helpful. I'll definitely be stopping in again soon to pick up a treat!
