Be extremely wary of the so-called fresh, made-that-day sandwiches in the deli section of Sendiks Bayside. On a few occasions I've gotten one that was just this side of spoiling. Yesterday (8-17-15) was the straw that broke the camel's back and, I won't be back!! I took back the half-beef sandwich with the slimey, brown lettuce and the so over-the-sell-buy date it reeked to high heaven beef and cheese!! Disgusting!! They gave me my money back but were NOT nice about it. Danny or Donny, the so-called manager, thought the lettuce looked OK. This is the kind of produce you use for compost, but I certainly don't eat it in my house. They can keep their ptomaine inducting deli crap from now on.
