Wow, I thought I had found a great dentist, but now I am searching again. To be fair, my cleaning experience at the dental office was very good. However, I was then billed the full amount for my x-rays (which my insurance plan normally covers at 100%). I called the office to ask why the x-rays hadn't been covered, and I was told by the doctor that it was because my last x-rays from my former dentist were done too recently, and that they may have been unable to read them. I asked why I was not told that the last ones weren't readable or that they were too recent for new x-rays to be covered beforehand, and the doctor told me that there weren't any dates on the x-rays. I called my old dentist, who told me that all of their x-rays are dated. I asked my old dentist what they would do in this situation, and they said they do x-rays at no cost to new patients if they can't read the most recent x-rays and need to take new ones. I can't believe this place didn't warn me that I would be billed, and then wouldn't make it right when I called with my concerns. I was with my last dentist for several years and only switched because I moved. These people are silly to give up a good insured customer who gets regular dental care. LOUSY customer service/attitude and shady billing practices here! Go elsewhere!
