RUINED VALENTINES DINNER - Chose Silver Fox based on all the great recommendations from friends, etc. Valentine weekend, I Do Not Recommend the Couples Special. Really cheap, bad filets and cut-rate lobster tails. Service was terrible. They ran out of clean glasses around 8:30. They actually served some other guy a martini in a brandy sniffer!! He seemed real happy about that. Had to wait for 15 min. before anyone came to our table when seated. Waiter apologized and said he would take care of us. Asked if this was our first visit we said yes. We had to ask for everything from drinks to bread. Brought a Crown and Coke in a tall cola glass bc they ran out of short glasses. It was all Coke, little Crown. Husband took it to the bar himself to get some Crown in it. Waited and waited to get bread, salads came out first still had to ask for the bread. III Forks salad was good, but that was it. Not worth $130/couple for salad. My steak was med well and we both ordered medium. Had to send mine back, wait for a new one, while my lobster tail sat there. I ate some of the lobster tail, and had a few bites of my husband's steak, but it's nice to have your own meal and be able to eat your filet and lobster together. Manager knew we were not happy, but really didn't seem too concerned, until we asked the other waitress (our waiter was obviously avoiding us, walking right by our table several times) to see the manager. Took him at least 5 min. or more to come over. Didn't charge us for dinner, which was good, bc we really didn't feel like paying for it. But still brought us a bill for the crappy drinks and my glass of wine. REALLY?? We just had a terrible dinner and terrible service and you still need your $20 for the glass of wine and 2 glasses of Coke? We will definitely be back at Bob's very soon. It was a mistake to try this place. We have been going to Bob's or Kirby's for years, always great steaks and great service. I just hate looking forward to a really nice dinner (it had been awhile) and then get treated this way, especially when it seems lots of others have great experiences here. Very Disappointed.
