Review content:
I saw Dr. Carlson about twice a year and we always seemed to have a good working relationship. I was completely blown away when I called to make an appointment and the office staff told me that even though I paid my missed appointment fees, I had been ""terminated"" for missing two appointments. I asked to speak to Dr Carlson about it and they gave me to the office manager. who told me, ""You will not be seeing Dr. Carlson again, please do not come in."" Apparently they mailed a letter to my old address. \r \r I have a HMO and Dr. Carlson was my primary caregiver. As a patient, I think I should not have been terminated. I missed an apt. in September and then in January. They have cancelation fees. I paid them. There was no policy indicating that I was about to have to end my relationship with my doctor. Additionally, it seems like since I have an HMO and I was locked into seeing Dr. Carlson, they should have informed me AND my insurance company. That way, even if they letter failed to reach me, the insurance company could give me a heads up. I still can't quite believe that I will just never see Dr. Carlson again. He is a good doctor, but this seems random, rude and unprofessional. I can't help but wonder if he is trying to whittle his practice down. When I called I noticed that the office had reduced the number of hours it was open in a week.\r \r Anyway, if you want a doctor who actually cares about the welfare of his patients, look elsewhere. Pros: Nice Doctor Cons: Terrible office staff, long office wait times, ""termination""
