Review content:
I have gone to Juut on University Ave three times for combination high/low-lights for my hair. The first time I went to Juut, the color faded out in literally a week. The hair colorist was not super-experienced and although I told her my color history, she didn't recommend a "fill-in" treatment. I went back to complain and the management-- to their credit --had a more experienced colorist do a correction with fill first (gratis, I gave a generous tip). The results were decent enough that I decided to come back 5 weeks later. The second time, the result was a little calico-cat-ish. That is, I had about 7 different colors of blonde, dark blonde and reddish in my hair (if you've had high-and-low-lights done, you probably know what I mean). I figured the colorist was just getting used to the way my hair responded and the next time would be better. The third time I went, she seemed to listen to how I wanted cool blonde tones -- not brassy, not calico. For one of Juut's supposedly top colorists ($$$) who had worked with my hair before, it should have been near-perfect. Unfortunately, she stuck me under the drier with foils on for WAAYYY too long. I have never been under a drier for more than 20-25 minutes with foils; she left me there for about 45 minutes. Another stylist asked if I was supposed to still be there and I said I felt like my colorist had forgotten me. Sure enough, the other stylist found my colorist and suddenly it was important to take the foils out right away. My hair was fried: totally dry and lighter than I had requested (though to her credit, in the right family of tones). She admitted as much when she offered a free conditioning treatment --didn't fix the damage. I didn't feel like I could go complain to management again since they would have thought I was psycho-picky. But I was really disappointed with the results and feel the colorists at Juut are negligent --or at least too busy or scattered to pay attention to their work.
