I miss the old time tenants Worked in 1991-1996 - 7 days a week as maintenance 6:30 AM -3:00 PM, and lock up at 5PM and put trash out a 10 P.M., on call 7 nights. $5.00 hr. then $7.00 the last year and a half. Got rent reduction for my room after about 1 1/2 years, then finally free room, then rent again, then free room again last 2 years. I was doing EVERYTHING except taking rents. Doing part of the maid's (Nancy (Kalie? Halie?) at the time) work since she was paid for 5 hours day but only worked 1-2 hours day for years! She is now Manager?! Old owner (Richard Tipton) must have sold the business and new owner not know her history! Toward the end too many people with mental health problems were moving in and it became very dangerous. I was told I was too honest. Constant harassment from Nancy, forcing me to work without windows open for fresh air as she sprayed ammonia and poured bleach in sinks. A suspect serial killer moved in and Nancy told the police hoping to get the reward but never told me they were living next door to me! (Barbara Gibbons told me, thank God!) This was after I stood guard and protected Nancy when she had to make the bed in a Rapist room. The rapist was recently out of jail for raping a hotel maid and beating people with a baseball bat. My job also became security guard, first aid emergency, very high stress. Too many scary, unbelievable things went on! I finally quit the job and moved out. I truely miss alot of the tenants but this experience really happened! If you work there, if anything goes wrong, things go missing... you will be blamed, 'the scapegoat'. Keep a chain with a padlock on your door so you can pull 2 chains together and lock the padlock on the door when you go out. I witnessed 'other workers' ... sneak into a nice lady tenants room and go thourgh her draws... when she was at work. They also tried to steal 10 thousand dollars from a 102 Yr. old lady 'Virginia Ogden'. She had $5000.00 in her room and $5000.00 in the office. Management, assistants would not give her her money! Waiting for her to die. I alerted Social Services when manager was on vacation in Reno and they took the $5000.00 out of her room and got $4000.00 from the manager when she returned. (Manager proudly said she kept $1000.00) Social worker placed Virginia into a better home and gave her the $9000.00 which she happily gave to her son. She was saving this money for years for her son. Do not work here!! After this I had to move, workers knew I helped Virginia and I feared for my safety. Was told they were thinking of planting drugs in my room and calling police. They made friends with a drug dealer on 3rd floor, violent guy, he got 2 people on heroin, one died. They still let him live there because he had 50 thousand dollars and alot of cash in his room. If you can stay to yourself, not be witness to anything, keep your door with extra lock, alarm... its a nice place to live. I loved it until I worked there. They also made me
