My daughter went to TMA for the past 9 years and I worked two jobs to be able to send her to such a great school. It is expensive and I can understand how some might question the value of this investment. However, I can tell you that my child and I feel we made a wonderful investment in her education, her self-esteem and her ability to grow into a much more confident young woman. My child is adopted by a single mom and she is a child of color and we felt welcomed and a part of the TMA community. In her junior high class, almost a third of the students were children of color and she was exposed to diversity in terms of religion, culture and belief system but not in terms of income. I like the fact that the emphasis is on learning the material not getting the grade and expecting that my daughter be an active learner. I like the fact that my daughter learned to manage her time and take responsibility for her own learning. I like the fact that there was a strong emphasis on writing
