I'd been riding my aging, rigid Trek mountain bike on local trails after a long absence on the bike, and I was having a very difficult time navigating one trail in particular. I didn't know much about the area, so I wandered in with my bicycle to the shop closest to my home, which is Richardson Bike Mart. It was a horrible experience. The kid at the service counter said my bike was an antique and that there was nothing that could be done to improve the ride. On my way out, another customer who'd overheard me suggested I try Don Johle's Bike World, because she thought I might find the staff more friendly and helpful.\r

Wow, she couldn't have been more right. The guy who helped me told me that my bike was on the old side, but thought there was enough clearance in the frame to replace my 26 x 1.85 tires with much wider 2.35 tires. He patiently explained to me that larger volume tires would make up lot for my rigid frame and give me a much better and much smoother ride. He was rig
