Ralph Torres is respectful of old houses and the people who love them. He understands being green (vinyl is evil!), is incredibly informative about energy effects, and his custom prices are MUCH better than comparable companies in the Bay Area (in my case, by approximately 25%) and far better than conventional factorymade windows that are inappropriate for historic homes. I am adding a second story addition to my 1925 Berkeley house and this required a precise match on multiple double-hung windows with diamond details, a custom design for a large front window, and three sets of custom French doors. I love that I can go to the shop and watch them being built. Can't wait for my contractor to install and will give a follow up review once done. As an aside, one should be clear and as precise as possible in everything you want built.
