I am disappointed in the way they handle issues with missed appointments to the extent of wanting to find a new dermatologist. I have been a patient for a few years and have always showed for my appointments. I had an appt. on a Monday and due to things out of my control was not able to notify them that I wouldn't be there. I received a letter a few days later saying I would owe them $25. I wasn't happy about it and did not reschedule. Almost a year later, I called to try and get an appt. and was told I would not be able to get one until I paid the $25. I explained my situation and asked that the fee be waived and was told no one could make the decision except the doctor who would not look at the file until the following day and therefore could not even schedule an appt. until the doctor decided if they will waive the fee. In the meantime, I have a skin issue and don't know if I will even be able to make an appt. without paying $25. I think it's crazy that there is no one I can talk to until tomorrow and that they are refusing treatment over $25 of someone who does not make a habit of missing appts. Pros: I actually got better beside manner from the assistant than the doctor Cons: Office policies need to be put into perspective
