Being the animals lovers we are, my boyfriend and I rescued a lovely, incredibly handsome Pom from the animal shelter in Los Angeles. After a few days of having the dog at home, we decided to get it's hair groomed from being extremely untaken care of and matted while he was staying at the shelter. \r Being new residents of Santa Monica, we decided we would schedule a grooming appointment for our dog at PETCO while we shopped for his toys, bedding, leash etc. As soon as we arrived at PETCO, the service was horrible, the employees were incredibly unfriendly exuding a true lack of experience and knowledge in animals and grooming. To our shock they were going to fully shave our animal. In tears, we walked away from the store vowing never ever to return to a place which lacks animals friendliness, knowledge and trust. If you love your dog, value them then spend time on them so the receive the best care possible. Dog Lover BEWARE.\r \r *We took our wonderful dog to Pet Affaire in Santa Monica. They are very knowledgeable, well educated, trained, friendly and talented. We loved the results and all the compliment we received will walking him on the street and beach. Not to mention that our dog loved the people and the wonderful toys and treats he received from them.\r \r Give your dog the Ritz not Pet Cemetary. Cons: Untrained, Lack of Friendliness, Unskilled
