Sadly, this place has really gone down the tubes since changing from PONGAL. It was once a neighborhood favorite of my wife and I. As for the food, I can no longer comment on it since it never arrived. The first sign of trouble was a ""waitress"" who instantly reminded me of the Lisa Kudlow character on the TV sitcom ""Mad About You"". First, she didn't bother to write down our order. Second, after 25 minutes of watching other people get their food, she came back to our table to ask us again what we ordered, offering some lame lie about a ""computer crash"" in a restaurant of only about 12-15 tables. Obviously, the other diners were not affected!
The whole experience was an insult. If I could rate Dakshin II with NO STARS, I would. We left and went down the street where we were treated and served professionally with great service and food.
Cons: Worst service EVER
