Dr. Romero was recommended to me by a friend, and she was my doctor for my first child. I had such a terrible experience with her, there is absolutely no way I would go back to her, and I would NOT recommend her to a new patient. To give her office some credit, it was always very clean, and the nurses and tech were always very nice. Thats about it though. The woman who handled the accounts never got my billing right. They ended up owing me because I had been overcharged, but I eventually gave up trying to get reimbursed because it was such a hassle. Dr. Romero has terrible bedside manners. She was always very short with me, and never explained anything unless stopped her as she was rushing out of the door to ask her a question. She always seemed put off, like I was inconveniencing her. When I delivered, she showed up and was pretty harsh with me in terms of 'encouraging me' to deliver. She gave me a completely unecessary third degree episiotomy. I ended up having to go back to her office 4 times over the next 3 months to get re-stitched because i wasn't healing correctly. I cried every time i left her office, she was just terrible. I had to stop her to ask her what she was doing every time I was there. If i didnt ask, i would have no idea what she was doing to me. I ended up having to go to a specialist and get surgery to 'repair' myself from the episiotomy she had given me. She delivered my first child, and there is no way i would ever recommend her, to anyone. Please do yourself a favor and find a different doctor.....
