Review content:
I can't believe the Owner lied to my face.\r \r I had moved a month prior to Ironman Wisconsin 2011, and left my race bike behind. I asked my dad to get a tune up for me and we recieved great reviews from Patio Bike so he went there.\r \r My dad didn't know what to look for when picking up the bike, and he was told they didn't have to do much work because I take good care of my bike (rightfully so the last tune up was 2 months earlier). \r \r I got into town and had to get to Madison for check in (must be checked in by 4:00pm or you don't race), when I picked up my bike from my Parents' house the gears were grinding (previously not an issue) and it was dirty- like it was never cleaned. \r \r I was in a bind- I didn't have time to go back to Patio Bike but I called and shared with them my issue- they said i could bring it in- but I had to get to Madison, that was not an option. \r \r After checking in for the race, I took my bike to another bike shop, and right away they knew there was a problem. $40 and an hour later, they fixed the problem and cleaned up my dirty frame.\r \r I went into Patio Bike after the race to see what they could do for me - I was inconvenienced and paid an extra $40 for their mistake.\r \r The owner lied right to my face, he said when my dad picked up my bike, he was shocked at how clean it was (a lie). \r \r He said he provided me a service and that was that. My mistake was not getting to my bike sooner to make sure they did their job right- so if i had to i could go back to them to look at it I could. BUT I shouldn't have had to do that- they should have done their job right the first time around. \r \r Take responsibility for your poor service, don't lie to the customer. I don't care if i was a one time customer from out of town- I was still a customer.
