Review content:
Woods is a great place to adopt a homeless animal or just volunteer and make a difference in the lives of displaced animals in the community. The staff at Woods want to make sure each animal is placed in an environment that is conducive to the pet's happiness. This, of course, is to make sure that these pets, that the staff members and volunteers have loved, trained, and cared for for weeks (sometimes upwards of a year!), don't end up in the wrong family and end up returning to Woods. They absolutely care for the animals and being told that you're family is not a good fit for an animal should not be taken as a personal insult. Perhaps you have a cat and your pet-to-be is much better off without another animal to compete with. Perhaps you have young children and the dog you're interested in doesn't have the right temperment to be yanked on and messed with as curious children will do. These have nothing to do with your value as an owner or otherwise, but simply an incongruence in the animal's needs and the living environment that is provided by your home. All in all, friendly staff that really, really does want the best for each and every animal that makes its way into Woods.
