Businiess name:  Long Beach Breakers
Review by:  Edward K.
Review content:
The Long Beach Breakers of the Golden State League have been out of business for a couple years, having left town under a cloud of debt. Fortunately for us in Long Beach, another minor league team has come and taken their place. The Long Beach Armada play in the Golden Baseball league from June to August. Their home is the same as the Breakers was, beautiful Blair Field in LB's recreation park. The level of play sloppier than in higher levels of pro ball, true, but the intimacy of the 1,000 seat park and the beautiful setting--I love all the trees behind the fences, especially when it gets foggy at night--help make up for it. And it's a whole lot more affordable than MLB, that's for sure.
