In the search to find the perfect wedding cake in the Triad, I found Maxie B's on the internet. I called and was immediately able to make an appointment. And, that is where the ease with this baker ended. I had a set person that I was to meet with and well upon arrival, that person was not there; we met with a trainee with no experience in tastings, pricing, or quanities, however she was very nice and gave us the manual to which she was reading mentioning that there would be a $10 tasting fee. Within 3 minutes, a plate with about 5 different small pieces of cake arrived, another girl came out asked for the manual then went away. About 10 minutes later the second girl came back without the manual, I asked to see the manual to choose shapes and sizes and she told me that was for employee use only not for customers, then she walked away and never came back not even the trainee. We witnessed the second girl walk get money from the tip jar and said goodnight. The point is the horrible service, we were treated like we were invisible customers not worthy of even satisfactory service. The cake was decent however but the attitude was incorrigible. We live in Raleigh and are getting married in Highpoint so using with people that will give the care and time to speak with people that actually have an appoint rather than put them to the wayside, is of the upmost importance. \r \r I have given them 2 star rating because the cakes were decent. I would only recommend this place for a stop-in pick-up place for pre-made baked goods not for choosing wedding cakes or any specialty cake. Pros: Baked goods are good but not great Cons: Unprofessional service with Wedding Cakes
