I've eaten there several times. I usually am part of a group of people, numbering between 6 and 15.\r
I look forward to the day when the Calhoun's owners invest in some soundproofing. My only criticism of the place is that my ears are ringing by the time we leave. It is very noisy -- but not caused by guests shouting. It is caused by the surface of the walls and ceiling... highly sound reflective.\r
It really is bad.\r
I am scheduled to meet with my group, at Calhoun's, this coming Friday, September 7. I may not go just because of the noise level.\r
... and... for the record, it isn't just me and my ears...Calhoun's is widely known for this noise problem.\r
The food is great, the service very good. Go. ...but be forewarned.\r
