I would not recommend that anyone shop at Bike Source. I put a bike on layaway but had to cancel because I bought a scooter instead. 3 weeks later I am still waiting for the money to be credited to my credit card. I called numerous times to try to figure out what was going on, repeating the whole ordeal over and over again with every call. When I finally thought i got an answer from some guy named ""Dick"" I was told that they DID in fact make a mistake reconciling the credit at the end of that business day but that it had been fixed and i should see my refund soon. I understand the whole pending payment thing from the bank and all since I AM A BUSINESS OWNER but if the credit had been processed correctly after the error was found then i should still be seeing a credit. I was told by ""Dick"" that if i did not have the funds returned to my account by Friday March 26, 2011 that he would personally hand write me a check. It is now Monday March 28, 2011 and I still don't have the money. I called the store at noon and told them that I was coming by to get my check but they told me that ""Dick"" wasn't in to work yet. I was told I would receive a call back from him when he got in but 45 minutes later, and after nearly 20 calls to this crappy store I was fed up and called back. ""Dick"" answered the phone and admitted that he had in fact been there but was with a customer at the time and informed me that he had a hand full of paperwork stating that the process was underway for my refund. I said ""what about the check you were going to write me""... yeah, no check. Apparently when you leave a non-threatening complaint on their FACEBOOK main page it upsets them. Social Networking, ain't it a bitch?! So yeah, he refused to speak to me and instead referred me to the guy in Colorado that he had been passing the buck to for the past 3 weeks. I finally got a call from this guy at 3:00 PM today and he again reassured us that the money would be there. If it's not put back in the next couple of days we will dispute it with Paypal and get our money, so no worries. As a business owner I can assure the general public that I know good customer service when I see it. It is completely NON-existent at this store. I wouldn't spend one dime there. ""Dick"" needs to take some remedial customer service training to learn how to treat customers and follow through with his commitments. He is sorely lacking in this department. As for whether or not I would recommend shopping there I would say ""let the buyer beware""... if you are looking to buy a bike at a place that doesn't really care about providing great customer service then this is the place for you. I wouldn't send my worst enemy there... who cares if you can fix a flat or sell a shiny bike when your sales staff is inept and unengaged during the sales experience. I removed my post from FB because I was attempting to get their attention to resolve this issue. Rest assured this post will stay up and I'll continue to spread the word on just how crappy their customer service is...
