I lived in SilverLake on Micheltorena St. in '96 & '97. Everyday I got off of the bus and went to Cafe Tropical. I even took walks down the Marathon Hill just to go there! No matter how broke I was, and couldn't ""eat-out"",.I made it my business to get a Sandwich-Cubano, and a Cafe con Leche.I've even had some yummy batidos (milk-shakes) from there too. I'm originally from Hoboken, NJ and had to move back home in '97,..but I'm living in in FL now with my family(Hubby & 2 kids). I'll go there any time if I'm in the Cali-area. It'll be 2am & I'll be craving the food from Cafe Tropical just ""out of the blue!"" If I decided to move back to Cali,..I'd def. live close by to my old apt. just to have the convenience of Great Authentic Food from Cafe Tropical! *Mone*
