Mr. P called our office on 5/17 and set up service for a washer and dryer. May is an extremely busy month for us but we offered to deliver the following day 5/18. At the time we took payment from Mr. P and put him on the schedule his order was confirmed, he was told that we would call him after 3pm that day to give him the 3hour window for his delivery the next day. Just after 4pm I attempted to reach Mr. P at the phone number provided and got his voicemail. I left a very clear message stating that I could not leave the window on his voicemail as we must speak to the customer directly to ensure they receive the information. I also advised him that if he was unable to call me back by 5pm that I was back in the office at 8am the following day. We never received a call back. \r \r On 5/18 at 9am I attempted to call Mr. P again as his delivery was scheduled for that morning and again I reached his voicemail. I left another message advising him to call us as soon as possible because his delivery was in the morning and hoped he would call us to avoid incurring a rescheduling fee. Still not hearing back from Mr. P we called yet again at approximately 9:36am because our drivers were going to his apartment next. At that time we left another very nice message making him aware of this and that we hoped he was home or that he would call us back. Our drivers knocked on his door several times and finally left a door hanger notifying him that we were there.\r \r Mr. P finally called us back and wasn’t happy with the rescheduling fee and wasn’t being reasonable. The fact is, Mr. P called us to provide a service and he was fully aware that his delivery was the following day. Essentially it was his responsibility to call us back and find out what time his delivery was. We went above and beyond trying to reach him to avoid this whole scenario. If he knew he wouldn’t be home at some point during that day he could have stated so, made other arrangements such as a key release or chose a different delivery day that was more convenient for him, this was not the case. \r \r We did offer to meet Mr. P half way and lower the rescheduling fee despite the fact that we tried to reach him multiple times. All in all we both agreed it was best to move on. We issued a refund minus the cancellation fee and sent him a copy along with a very nice email. \r \r We take pride in our customer service, when you call E-Z you always speak to someone never a recording. We are local and have been serving Austin for 22 years. We never like to have an unsatisfied customer but with most things you can’t always please everyone. We can say that we have thousands of satisfied customers and that’s what we focus on.\r \r \r
