Review content:
I hired Sandy as our wedding photographer. She was pleasant to work with pre-wedding. She showed me her portfolio and had answers for all my questions. I was especially concerned about lighting and there were certain pictures I wanted taken. She assured me that she had the proper equipment for the job and that she could take the pictures I wanted. I was thrilled the day of my wedding but majorly disappointed with the end result of the photography. She lost an entire roll of our posed pictures and those that I especially wanted (such as seeing my husband for the first time, our rings, our families together, etc). Our pictures were framed badly so that the majority would be better cropped. The pictures were extrememly dark and there is no way to lighten them. I talked with Sandy and wrote letters about my disappointment. She decided my compensation would be to put my photos on a CD. I agreed based on the fact that she said I had the rights and would be able to make enlargements and duplicates from the CD. The CDs turned out to be a mess, at least three of every photo on them, pictures of children I don't even know dressed up for Halloween (which tells me she finished off my wedding roll with her own pictures), and the photos on the CDs are of too low a resolution to make enlargements....this makes them basically worthless to me. She refused any other offers of compensation. She told me I could buy my negatives from her or pay to have her enlarge photos for me. I honestly do not want to pay her another cent. I honestly regret hiring her for this job and would not recommend her to anyone needing a wedding photographer.
