Review content:
This is one of my favorite places to eat. By the way, the sign out front reads ""Pappy's Cafe"", not Grill. Just so's you know, if you've never been there before and might be wondering. The decor is an aw-shucks kind of cool, rather homespun and rustic. Parking out front is restricted to only a handful of spaces; out back there's a large lot. Expect it to get busy for lunch. The wait staff are friendly and competent -- never had a bad experience in that regard. The menu has a good variety: burgers, Tex-Mex, seafood, salads, chicken, beef dishes, and a daily special. Everything is priced reasonably. Portions are generous. I've liked everything I've tried there, but the real standouts for me were the chicken fried steak that hangs off the sides of the plate, the fajitas tender enough to cut with a fork, the burgers -- especially the bacon cheeseburger -- that are so big, I almost get jaw cramps biting into one, and the blackened catfish, which tastes as good as anything Papadeaux has to offer at about half the price. They have a Sunday brunch now, but I've not yet tried it. $2 margaritas all day long. What's not to like? See you there! Pros: Lotsa food and $2 margaritas Cons: Short wait for a table during the lunch rush
