Let me start by saying that I was born and raised in Texas. While this BBQ is mediocre for Texas, it is the best I have had in Los Angeles. Don't listen to those saying that the brisket was dry. The brisket, ribs, and chicken were juicy and tender. The sausage was a glaring weakness and would not have sold in Texas. The sauce is very sweet and does not contain as much vinegar as what I am used to. The sides are definitely weak, except the cole slaw, which reminded me of home. The wait staff was nice and I'm sure that none was a starving actor, which I found quite refreshing. \r \r Is it as good as what you find in small towns across Texas? No. Is it the best in Los Angeles? Definitely. It is good enough to give me my BBQ fix and that is the most I can ask given the alternative of going home to get decent BBQ.
