Review content:
Tsunami used to be one of my favourite spots to dine at. However, my last visit wasn't so impressive. I made a reservation for 9. I had arrived 10 minutes early to wait for our name to be called. I had to go up to them and ASK because the time of our reservation had passed! Friday is busy but HONESTLY, that's why I called in a RESERVATION! \r \r And our waitress! Jamie! - we were all talkative, joked around - we joked around with her a bit; she had absolutely no sense of humour. She didn't even act like she wanted to be there. I wasn't impressed with her attitude. \r \r Still more...The bill ended up being around $180 for all of us. There is a courtesy tip for $26.00 or something around that in the high 20's (since we were a party of 6+). With all the confusion as we were all paying for ourselves we ended up being $10 short. We told her, we added the remaining we owed TOWARDS THE FOOD onto the tip line. She gathered everything up to make the charges. She came back, ""You owe $10 more still..."" she didn't make eye contact either! So my friend handed her a credit card to charge the $10 on. After a while we thought about it, What do we owe her? We already paid the difference and the tip! So one of the girls politely went over to ask her and the Jamie got really defensive stating that we put it on the tip so that money went towards her tip. She could have told us that when we told her what we had done! She said she couldn't credit us back and the only way to correct the charge was the cross out the tip. If we hadn't have asked she would have jipped us $10 on top of the $26.00 tip that we had already given her. Very underhanded!\r \r There are a few really nice waiters and waitresses but there are just a few there who make you feel unwelcome or like you're putting then out of their way. It's super slow on busy nights, which is fine. I realize that all of these inconveniences have viable reasons, but annoyances are annoyances. Enough is enough - but I'll be dining elsewhere. Pros: Very awesome atmosphere... Cons: Lack of staff morale...
