Review content:
First off, it's not the safest in the world. My teen-aged daughter was mugged. The manager was nice about it though (the only consolation) and said that the Winn Dixie Corporation would call her and give her some free gifts. The phone never rang even once. When you compare their prices, Winn Dixie's own brand name items are actually MORE EXPENSIVE than the retail price of name brand items. Case in point: Velveeta was cheaper than their Winn Dixie brand. Then don't even ask me about the wait time in line. The ONLY time I ever shop there is if I need something in a hurry, like I forgot to pick up cream of something soup at my usual grocer and I'm in the middle of cooking something and need it ASAP. I won't actually shop there ever again. The one benefit it has is it's self-checkout. That is only beneficial if you're paying with a card. If you're paying cash, then you may as well stand in line because it doesn't accept cash in the machine like other checkouts do such as Kroger, Home Depot and Walmart. All in all Winn Dixie stinks in my opinion. The whole mugging thing is just proof of how the whole corporation could care less about its customers. Pros: Self-checkout Cons: Cost, meat is low grade (if even that), unsafe
