My boyfriend and I decided to go to the SS on a Tuesday night in celebration of his birthday. We thought it would be a good place to kick back for a few, as we were in town from CO visiting family. The night started out fine until we decided to play three songs on the Jukebox. The songs we picked were not particularly what the people in Scottsbluff would choose, BUT seeing as how we were paying customers and paid to have our songs played, it shouldn't have mattered. As soon as our first song came on, the stereo was turned down and the bartender preceeded to allow the three other patrons in the bar to ridicule us and complain about our song choice. Nevermind that we had to stick around for 2 hours and 20 songs (only Country and Akon) to listen to our picks. We also had the joy of being bathed in cigarette smoke and objected to a very unsightly, obese, very drunk woman, expose herself. I would have to say that in all the total $15 we spent at the SS was well worth the few minutes of disturbance to the very small small, close-minded world of the residents of Scottsbluff. Word of advice, don't go there unless you're under the age of 40, open-minded, or plan on picking anything other than country or rap from the Jukebox. Also for the SS Owner, you might want to take everything off of the Jukebox that isn't country or rap, because if it's available ""out of towners"" might just pick it. GO GO Oregon Trail Lounge! Pros: Comfy, Has a Jukebox Cons: Bartender, Patrons
