This church and pastor is very uncooperative and non communicative when it comes to giving resource to any family records. Family members are dead over 100 years ago. Yet this man refuses to share our family records. I received acceptance at the level of the Scranton PA Bishop's office. Yet, this community pastor won't return my calls. His written letters don't even acknowledge my requests. His letters are cordial. I met him in 2004, in front of the church on Hudson St. He sent me ""on a wild goose chase"" telling me to write to Scranton PA. He lied ,and told me the Archives were only in Scranton PA. Scranton's office wrote me that the Archives of Baptisms and Matrimony were in Forest City PA. It is now April and Primary election year 2008. The archaic treatment of me is deplorable. Many family residents do not attend Catholic or any other denomination of church because of him and his behavior to the community. It is no wonder that the churches are closing in Forest City PA. My Great Grandmother immigrated to FC and settled in 1893 with children. She was one of the supporters of this church in it's beggining, and rebuilding, until her death in 1929. Even her obituary acknowledges her church activities. It is an absolute shame that a pastor, and leader of the community, does not respect one of its main founders. Cons: parking, service, pastor, recordkeeping, lack of communication with community
