Comporium Communications, I worked for them for over ten years and all but 1 year I was not a subscriber to anything except for internet. The only reason I subscribed to that was the lack of anything else. Most of the department I was working in had DIRECTV for TV, no home phones.... that in itself speaks volumes. I recently visited my home town and asked my parents about their internet and they told me that they have Comcast, the 2nd tier data package and it cost $29/month, no taxes on internet usage. The speeds were 15Mbp's up/5Mbp's down. That is without a contract, with the contract it is $20/month. The top tier was 75Mb/20Mb down and it was $70/month. The prices here are really unfair and they said that they charge that because even though they are considered ""Rural"" they are in the Charlotte and Columbia price ranges. The company was a good place to work, but not anymore. The employee's don’t even get a discount on the service, its like 75% on basic cable and 15-20% off everything else. Talk about greed.
