Businiess name:  Deja Vu Salon

Review content:
Wow, I'm surprised by some of these harshly negative reviews of Deja Vu! I'll paint a different picture, and I should note that I do not work for the salon, but I have been a client there for the past year and a half. When I first moved to Delaware County from Center City, I tried several salons near my home in Swarthmore and was dissatisfied with all of them. In general, they were overpriced with under skilled and (surprisingly) overbooked stylists. Then I found Deja Vu in Media. I was scheduled with Amanda who had been on the job only a few weeks then. I was so pleased to get such a great cut for, at that time, only $35. Amanda was really friendly, down to earth, and professional for a 20 year old kid (at least, to me) who had just graduated beauty school. I've been back many times, and Amanda has given me consistently great cuts and service (and I'm not one of those people who comes in just for a trim. I'm one of those who shows up every 3 mos. with a photo from a magazine wanting a complete hair makeover! Amanda always delivers.) I've also had nothing but pleasant exchanges with Rachel at the front desk who appears very professional to me--nothing like a bar bruiser (?!) The one reviewer had a point about them pushing the overpriced products on you, but that's been the case at every salon I've been to. Also, I was disappointed to see the price of Amanda's cuts go up to what I paid in the city--around $60. But I get a lot more service for that price at Deja Vu than I did in the city. In short, I will keep coming back to Deja Vu and I wholly recommend them to others. In fact, I have an appointment with Amanda tomorrow morning, and I'm greatly looking forward to a hot new do for spring! Pros: Amanda gives great cuts and is super friendly Cons: Price of cuts has gone up significantly
