In advance of my first visit, a referring friend warned: ""Don't panic when you walk in the door, and carry cash."" Not exactly encouraging, but after looking past the cluttered store front and seeing their consistent quality work--I, too, now swear by Bangkok. I regularly trust them to shorten my latest pair of Citizens or Sevens. They take special care to finish by returning the original hem so you keep the style, whether frayed or tidy. So it's cash only--get over it!! ATMs are everywhere--including the parking lot! No need to draw more than the fast-cash minimum. . .the prices are very reasonable.
