Review content:
This was my first facial and even though my student budget allowed me only the least expensive facial at $45 (60 min), service was pleasant. I was the only customer in the salon at the time, so the girl who did my facial was attentive and careful, although she kept leaving the room to take care of things outside (not sure why; there were several other staff members having lunch in the store). My basic facial consisted of a scrub, cream, extraction, the electronic technology that's supposed to zap away blemish-causing bacteria, and a mask. \r \r The only rain on the parade was at the very end, when the girl who did my facial rang me up and gave me a dirty look in response to the 15% tip amount I asked her to tack onto my bill and made a comment about it to a co-worker as if I weren't standing in front of her. Since I hadn't used spa services before, I thought the tip rate was standard; apparently I was mistaken.\r \r Everything had been professional and enjoyable except for that negative ending, which struck me as oddly unprofessional considering how agreeable service had been up until that point.
