Kempsville veternary is good if you do not have a sick dog. My first dog was from the pound. I only had him a day when he started getting sick. I took him several times to this hospital and the vet did every test available except the parvo test. He got so sick that I ended up taking him to the hospital on Va Beach Blvd. and the first test they gave him was the parvo test and he had it. I paid 1500 dollars tring to get this dog well but he died. Maybe if the vet at Kempsvilkle hospital had given him that test along with the other tests we could have caught it in time. Now we have another stray. I took him in Fri. to get his shots and he was tested for worms. He had hook and whip worms and was given medicine for that. They also sold me heart worm med. before the test for that came back. The vet did not tell me not to give him this heartworm med until I heard back from him on the results of the heartworm test. So I gave him one when I got home. Two hours later the vet called to say that he did in fact have heartworms still nothing mention about not giving him the heartworm med. So that night my dog got really sick was breathing heavy would not eat or walk. Why sell me the heartworm med until the results came in because I will not be able to use it because the heartworm treatment will be a long process. I guess they did not want to lose that 13.00 for the med that I can't use and made my dog sick. I had to take him to the vet today that will be another charge to try to get him well for there neglagence. The vet tried to tell me that it was a misunderstanding on my part but he was at fault for not telling me not to give him the med until he go back to me with the test results and why sell it to me until the results were back. Needless to say we will be changing vets after this treatment and they will be losing 4 dogs they will not be getting anymore money from me or my mom. Pros: healthy dogs Cons: sick dogs
