Review content:
Picked this place in a a hurry based on some reviews saying the best sushi in town and not wanting to drive to Norfolk for a sure bet on good sushi. Reviews had said that the outside shabbiness was not an indication but it IS! We were the ONLY ones in the restaurant (at dinnertime on a Monday) but hoped the lack of atmosphere and junky surroundings would become irrelevent if the sushi was good. It was NOT. It was dry and did not seem fresh. Several rolls differed ramatically from the traditional sushi definition of that roll and that could not be anticipated because the menu did not tell the contents that this particular restaurant used for each roll. Determined to eat, we sampled all the dry rolls (even the wasabi was stale and the ginger dry) before being unable to stomach more and departing. Within a few hours, we became very ill. I was traveling early the next morning and that's the first time I've had to test the durability of airplane v*miting bags. (Citysearch won't let me use the actual V*mit word though I am being scientifically accurate!) This was a HORRIBLE sushi experience! Cons: Stale food, no ambience, will make you sick
