i truly wish i had read a few of these reviews before we decided to use david martin for our mortgage. a (former) friend of mine is a real estate agent in their office, and we used her to buy our home. to make a very long story short, david was unable to get a couple with a very good credit score, almost no debt and 20% down a mortgage. he was, however, able to talk and talk and convince us over and over that the problems were due to ""changing regulations"". it was only due to my hard work and the hard work and understanding of our sellers that the deal went through. our agent, kim klingensmith, was completely absent after david informed her that there was no way we could qualify for a mortgage and the deal was off... she didn't call the seller's agent, didn't offer suggestions for another mortgage lender, nothing. i ended up getting a mortgage for us-- in 10 business days start to finish, with a rate of 4.875%. does that sound like an impossible loan to get? kim didn't even bother to show up at closing. she was supposed to credit us $450 to compensate our sellers (small change compared to what they were out). of course, a week after closing we are still waiting for that check. david certainly took the commission check, though. we weren't even permitted to see that check. we paid that office thousands of dollars, and did all of our own work. DO NOT EVER USE THESE PEOPLE!!! Cons: will waste your time and money
