Appalled 01/04/2010 ...canNOT recommend... My dogs were attacked by a pit bull and another dog on 12/30/09 near the Stephens Forest Park Golf Course. 2 precious Havanese were badly hurt and traumatized along with myself. I called VetStop from the golf course, and the tech said to bring them in. When I arrived around 4pm - Dr. DeJong said he could not treat the dogs, because he closes at 5pm. He said I would have to drive to Iriving for treatment. I was pretty distraught and not that ""clear thinking"" at the time - so I begged him to see them to see if OK... he took them in for a moment, and then advised I needed to call friends and others for help, as he could not treat due to office hours. Fortunately - a friend, who uses METROPAWS at Skillman & Live Oak called THEM ~ and they were happy to see my precious puppies. The ""tech"" who answered the call at VetStop offered to drive me... I'm EXCEEDINGLY grateful to Kimmy. I will transfer my files to METROPAWS. It seems Dr. DeJong does not have a ""heart"" for animals...OR he just wants to do office visits, dispense medication, and administer shots... No Stars! Pros: Convenient to Oak Cliff... Cons: No Heart...
