I can recommend Dr. Smitherman or "Rusty" as his friends know him not only because he has been around for a long while, but because he is a great animal lover.
Up until recently Rusty didn't even charge an office visit fee. Because he has bills to pay like everyone else, however, he had to start charging for OV's. The fees still are very reasonable though.
Seeing Dr. S. is first come, first served. The only exception is surgeries which are scheduled ahead of time for appointed times.
Rusty can do pretty much anything other vets do, spay, neuter, declaw, other surgeries and they also sell some of the better products that customers like to buy for flea control, de-worm, heart worm protection, etc.
He will not carry just 'any' product either. He and his staff test all the products before recommending them. I recently asked why they didn't carry a specific product that is 'supposed' to kill fleas & worms all in one. The office informed me that they had found the product to not be effective & therefore couldn't recommend it.
I'm just so pleased to have a great Dr. & his staff looking out for me & my animals' welfare & so I can highly recommend Dr. Smitherman to everyone as the best vet in the area.
