Review content:
I went to this doctor two weeks ago with a hospital letter stating that they found a rather large cyst in my ovary. Even though I'm new to Orlando I followed the hospital's advice and found an gyn, Dr. Dieguez. Let me just say before I continue that I am a teacher that just moved here from Miami, my health insurance doesn't kick in until Dec 2007...Therefore I will be receiving a bill from the ER and plus visit to Dr. Dieguez cost $200. I explained my not having any insurance to to Dr. Dieguez and that I would like to avoid going to another expensive ER and try to get this treated with him. He reviewed my paperwork and performed a pelvic and also determined that I had a cyst. I wasn't 100% comfortable with him, his exam was rough non the less I needed help with this cyst situation. At the end of the visit he gave me a script for Darvacet and samples of hormones. He told me to wait till I got my period then start the hormone treatment to try to bring this cyst down. I tried relaxing at home for a few days and was taking taking the pain meds, the pain meds were not helping much so on the Friday after I saw him earlier that week I called to see if I could get stronger meds and some guidance. It was 5:15p.m. when I called (I thought they closed at 5:30) this doctor named Dr. Blount responded to my call. I explained everything thoroughly to him and instead of being somewhat understanding he told me ""I don't know you nor your case, I'm not calling in anything because it is against my belief to cater to addicts."" He said if it's urgent, go to the ER and hung up. I had so much pain and discomfort that he put me in tears..I mean it was very unnessesary for him to say that to me, I mean..I don't even drink. My sister saw me crying and was livid, she left a message for this Dr. Blount to call her back to give him a good talking to and the coward simply called his service and told him that he had nothing else to say. I wouldn't recommend this Dr or team. Pros: An appoinment was available with 2 days Cons: Insensitive
