I went to the one on Patriot and South Virginia.
I have gone there several times before, I am ashamed to say. I always sit at the bar, and the one bartender I always seem to get - a ditzy, stupid blonde girl, with a laugh that emanates from her mouth at about 125 decibels, causing partial and sometimes permanent deafness - just REFUSES to get my order correctly. Each time. She just doesn't care apparently.
This instance tonight was the worst though. I go there, sit at the bar. There was one other patron there. Ditzy blonde was behind the counter, playing with something. She looks up and sees me, and then leaves suddenly for the kitchen (I assume). Gone for 4 minutes or so. Returns, looks right at me, and takes care of something else, and disappears for another couple of minutes.
I reluctantly went there tonight, and when I saw her at the bar I knew I wouldn't get what I ordered, so I just walked out. Incredibly terrible service.
IF YOU WANT GOOD MEXICAN IN THE AREA - go to Rosita's Cocina. Just about 1/2 mile north, in the northwest corner of Longley and Virginia. Delicious food, GREAT service, and fair prices. Other good restaurants in the area: Joe Bob's Chicken Shack, Sonny's Italian, and of course, In 'n Out.
STAY AWAY FROM MURRIETA'S AT ALL COSTS.
