On Sept. 21, 2011 Plumber Michael L. came out within a couple of hours after my original call to Roto-Rooter for help, which really surprised and pleased us! We were having problems with the our downstairs toilet, it was draining fully and gurgling sometimes and others it was trying to overflow on flushes. At first he tried to snake it and it got stuck on something so he took the toilet off (needed a new wax seal anyway) and what he found was something that he said that he had never seen before in a concrete slab home!!! There was about a one foot long, pipe size wide grouping of roots the size of speghetti or less. They had grown into a very tightly wad about the size of a ferret!!! They weren't from a tree, they actually came from under the concete slab from when it was built in 1978 and went over the pipe into the neck of the sewer pipe under the toilet!!! Micheal removed the root section (VERY LARGE) and cleaned up the area and put in a new wax seal a new flex water line to the toilet (at our request) and replaced and sealed the toilet!! He did a wonderful job, was VERY friendly and professional and the price was VERY reasonable!! What a relief that the pipes were ok (pvc) and that he did this job so well for us!! We even took photos of the root monster with him!!! I rate this company VERY HIGHLY!!! FYI we are in Clute, Texas!!!! I know that this company is based in Galveston County but they service our area's plumbing needs quite well!!!
