Review content:
I had heard many good things about the Taste of Texas before going so I had high hopes. They did not deliver. The ""no reservation"" policy is an excellent way to get people to dump money into your bar before they dump even more at the table. Although the wait staff was very polite, they weren't very knowledgeable or helpful. The hostess and management seemed very all aloof and didn't seem to care whether we were there or not. The salad bar was good, but how hard is it to screw up a salad bar. The steaks came out over done, the vegetables were cold. All in all, not a very good experience. There are so many better steak restaurants in Houston to have to go back to this place.
