Businiess name:  Envy Salon

Review content:
I do not take too many days off. I was very excited to get a day for me, away from work and hustle of the children. Since Envy Salon is located near my home, I decided to treat myself. Although it was difficult to understand the gentleman on the phone, I believe he may be the owner, I set an appointment for conditioning, full color and highlights. I am accustomed to Chicago salons and grew up in Europe. When a salon is advertising as high end, that is what I expect. The interior is charming if not really high end and more on the cheap Ikea side. It was initially difficult to relax as I was constantly asked a lot of questions, mainly about purchasing products. Although it is nice to be offered a drink, wine at 11am is a little too much, especially for someone, who, like myself, has a sensitive stomach. I am accustomed to going into a hair salon and automatically receiving robe, slippers, having my jacket and purse taken care of, that is high end. No such service here. My stylist was behind with time and I had to wait for 20 minutes. Were the seating more comfortable and the waiting area more conducive to I doing work I would not mind waiting. Furniture however is very uncomfortable. There was also a lot of talk and noise going on in the back, I am not sure what was going on. My stylist was very cute however being very young, did not have a lot of experience. In this industry it is essential to keep up with the latest trends, not just for TX but to know what is happening in NYC, Europe and around. Unfortunately my stylist was not well versed on the current fashion of the day. Customer Service at Envy is not high end. It is a fine salon however why try to be something that one is not. The salon really is a nice family salon. One that is good for touch up but not a place to go for relaxation and a special occasion. It is a step above the traditional super cuts. If looking for high end, ladies skip this place and go to a full service salon known for pampering...in fact skip ENVY, if you want average go to a Fantastic Sam's to save money. For a real treat, my suggestion: The Salon at the Domain...they are even open seven days a week and as opposed to promoting products they care about their needs of their clients!!!!
