Review content:
I have been sewing for more that 40 years. Recently, I received a serger machine as a gift. I never used this type of machine before & wanted to take lessons on the basics. Little did I know what a mistake it would be to take lessons @ Sew Much More. The instructor, Diane, had absolutely no idea how to use my Baby Lock Serger despite the fact that the exact same model was on display less than 10 feet away in the showroom. Three times during my hour long lesson, Diane had to ask the on-site technician to fix the mess she made of my machine. When she attempted to thread the machine with a decorative thread, the machine imploded. Laura, the store manage, was no help. All Laura did was to remind me that if I had purchased a ""high-end"" serger, I would not be having these issues. I think the $600.00 price I paid was high-end enough for my first serger machine. She tried repeatedly to push her expensive machine threads, telling me that the Gutterman brand serger thread I was using was part of the problem too. (Really???) I had to leave my brand new machine with these people for a week while the damage done to it by Diane was repaired. Bottom line...nothing was wrong with my machine before I brought it to my lessons with Diane. Do yourself a favor, use the instructional DVD that came with the machine & avoid this crew @ all costs! Pros: Lots of inventory Cons: The store manager & the instructors.
